It’s been a busy summer getting ready for another wonderful Regatta Run- this year, our 10th Annual! The sponsorship drive has been very successful and for that, I thank our very generous and community-minded Tualatin. I am honored to be a part of the Event Team who puts on this event to honor and remember Cpl. Matthew Lembke. Sometimes people ask, “Who is the Event Team?” We are a small but fierce (just kidding- persistent, but not really fierce) group of people who put this event together, and with the addition of sometimes 1-2 friends or family members of the Lembkes- we also review and select the Corporal Matthew Lembke Memorial Scholarship recipients in the spring.

Without the continuing support of Tualatin and the surrounding communities, we would not have been able to help college dreams come true for the more than 74 scholarship recipients since the scholarship fund began. This is an event that I love, and it is a privilege and an honor to help remember Matt Lembke in this way. Our success, however, is not our own. It is your’s too.
